Illness in pets can show up in unexpected ways. Something as simple as having to fill the water bowl more often than usual can be a sign that there is something serious going on inside your pet’s body. If you are noticing changes in behavior (drinking more water, vomiting, diarrhea, going outside more frequently, shaking their heads or scratching their ears) and feel that your pet may be ill, don’t wait, call for an appointment. You are your pet’s voice and if something is “off” with them, you are going to notice it before someone else will. The sooner we see your pet, the sooner we can get them on the road to recovery.

While we are not an emergency room, we strive to fit patients with acute illnesses into our appointment schedule as long as we have the availability. There are times when we will have to refer you to an emergency hospital if we feel that your pet’s health will benefit.
